Has anyone experience a pump failure - I know - we have so relative few 
flying hours (other than perhaps Tracy Crook)that the lack of failure
may be fairly meaningless.  Just wondering

Hi Ed,
I use the Mazda in-the-tank pumps, have not had a failure in 425 hours. I also have not had one fail yet in an RX-7. I've owned three 2nd gen cars, still have two of them.

I have very occassionally turned off one pump on long trips when I'm at altitude.
