Kelly, Ed and all,
Rumors were that the reason Don Garlits had to retire from drag racing was spinal problems caused by repeated 8g launches! Supposedly the doctor told him that if he didn't stop one of these times he would get to the end of the run and not be able to get out of the car. Jokingly Garlits was supposed to have asked if he could just do it until he needed glasses!

Well, I don't think my heart could stand that kind of excitement. My full throttle take off provides sufficient - thank you, Kelly. Must say the stats are incredible - but I think the comparison of the 200 MPH corvette really makes the case - WOW!
