Hi Scott,

For the coil mounts, I bent up a couple of pieces of 4130 steel in a 'U'
shape.  Fairly shallow.  I bolted them to some unused bolt holes on the
top of the engine.  They may have had something to do with the
stock intake.  One coil is bolted to each leg of the 'U'. The top holes
in the coils are bolted together with a threaded rod and a spacer.
Sorry I don't have a picture, but the attached picture shows where the
'U' shaped pieces go.  Just guessing I would say each one is about 5" X
5" and the sides are about 1/2".  That puts two coils in front of the
oil fill tube and two behind it.  The hole in the U that holds the coil
is very close to the edge, maybe 1/2" back.  I was able to use a stock
set of spark plug wires that I bought at the speed shop for one of the
LS1 engines. Each lead is about 12" long.  Another advantage, the coil
wire harness helps hold the dip stick in.  I'll probably change that as
I have another set of coils where the connector is on the back side.
I'm sort of expecting some coil problems at they seem to run around
120F in flight and hotter at times.  I'm still working on a blast tube
for cooling.
