there are some flying with a I0-240 Cont. which I know that the engine weight about 250# , my question is what does the average 13B with prop drive weight. thanx John

Hi John,

Welcome to the rotary world.  As Tommy said, the "average" FWF weight is equal to an O-320 Lyc.   If 250# is the weight of an IO-240, you can probably compare that to the published weight of an O-320, and have a pretty good idea where you would end up.  I can't imagine there's much weight difference between the rest of the FWF items of an O-320, and the IO-240.  If it's heavier, the CG can possibly be worked out by moving the battery, or remote mounting the radiator, but you'll still be overweight in general.  You might want to ask about the folks that put IO-240's in them.  They may have already had to take all the CG measures, which will leave you without as many options.

Good luck,
Rusty
