I had Bruce T. send me some rebuilt fuel injectors and the no. on them is 1955002010, all four are alike.  I have been reading here that there is a difference between the primary and the secondary.  Will these work for both, if not which ones do I have, primary or secondary?  There some options other than the Mazda, correct.  JohnD

Hi John,

Attached is a chart that I stole from somewhere, showing the numbers for some of the stock injectors.  As you can see, you have 89-91 non turbo injectors.   They are high impedance, so they will work directly with an EC-2, without having to add resistors.  They are "rated" at 460 cc/min of flow, though I believe that's at Mazda's lower than standard fuel pressure.

The stock injectors are the only ones I know of that will fit the stock housings, or manifold, but I suspect that are others out there somewhere that will fit.  If you're using an aftermarket throttle body with injector ports, then you'd need to use what's made for those.  It's sometimes possible to adapt other injectors to fit the stock Mazda ports, but it's much easier to just use the ones you have.

As for matching injectors, Mazda used 4 identical injectors up until 93, when they made the secondary larger than the primary.  This was to supply lots of fuel for the twin turbo engine (zoom, zoom...directly to jail).

Cheers,
Rusty (hoping to sneak past the spamcatcher)
