Todd: I have had two bmw heater cores actually blow up, well within reasonable temperature and pressure range. It occurred in the cars at/in the nylon fiber composite tanks on the top, bottom and or side. I would be afraid of them if they have that feature. Aluminum tanks probably would not draw that reaction.
