Attached is a picture of a short temperature sensor as
suggested by folks on this list.
The sensor was needed as the "default"(also attached)
vdo 1/8-27 sensor has too long of a probe and was
closing off the flow.
This sensor is 10Mx1.0 threaded but fits nicely into
the 1/8-27 npt
I purchased them through my local NAPA dealer. It is
listed under a 1984 VW Rabbit Part# ECH TS6052.
