Airplane has been a hangar queen too long! Have started it several times recently and it has really run good. Twice I've been to the hangar to start removing the rotary and installing the Lyc., but both times chickened out. Just do not have the heart to start removing what I worked so hard to put in. Still get a lot of grieve from the homefront about there is too much homebrew in it to suit her.

Anyway, thanks to Will James providing parts to put bottom of cowling back to original confiquration, except did not put the bottom flap back on and guess what, the temperatures did not even get above 180 degrees (oil or coolant ) during max climb to 3500 feet at 90 mph indicated. Flew for about 30 minutes , some slow flight and feel a stall again before I landed. Greased it on the first couple hundred feet and a big grin when I taxied in.

Squawks, radio could not transmit but a neighbor was standing by with a handheld. With handsignals got him to understand I could read but not transmit so he called radio for me. 2nd thing I have to get going before flying to Lakeland next weekend is the Ipaq. Had let the battery run totally down and lost software. When I finally got it downloaded to it again, it does not get GPS signal , so will have to get it sorted out. Do not feel comfortable flying w/o cones of safety anymore. There are plenty of grass strips to go into across the state, but finding them w/o the ipaq is tough.

Hope to see some of you at lakeland, but pay no attention to Laura's working Bernie over about losing his dipstick. Thanks Buly for the quick response.
