Just be cautions on using vinyl-ester in an otherwise epoxy
environment. You cannot lay up vinyl-ester over epoxy. It doesn't adhere. You can go the other way, though I can't imagine why.

That's what I've heard as well - it seems that the epoxy can adhere to most well prepared surfaces ( bonds better) than other synthetic products.
