What = gyrocopter are you=20 planning on building?

Hi=20 Mark,

Since the goal = is to use the=20 single rotor engine, I have to find one that will allow a 200-220 = lb, 100=20 HP engine.

I'd really = like to have a=20 tractor configuration, but right now, the Little Wing is about the only = game in=20 town. It would accept the engine just fine, but it's only = available as plans, so I'd have to scratch build the = fuselage.  I=20 have the plans, and haven't ruled it out completely, but it would be a = lot of=20 construction work, which I'm trying to avoid.  The good news = is that=20 it would be inexpensive, which is nice since I have all my money = tied up in=20 the RV-8.

The best = option at the=20 moment is a single place Dominator.  They've proven to be safe, and = work=20 well with Subaru's and such, so it would handle the weight.  = Construction=20 is simple, and could be fairly inexpensive as well.  Actually, it = can be=20 scratch built, and I have the plans for them as well.  The cost of = the=20 pre-welded components is so reasonable, that I'd never do it=20 myself.

Right now, I = need a redrive,=20 and then I can get on with single rotor re-configuration and = testing.  I've=20 still got lots to do on the RV-8 during it's test period, and have to = paint it=20 at some point as well, so I'm not in too much of a hurry for the gyro = right=20 now.

Cheers,
Rusty
