In the earlier Connery films the violence was pretty straight-forward. (The novels more so of course) Later the persona was more defined. Then they went kiddie/stupid (Moore) Now full circle. The earlier Connery Bond films lacked the special effects now available but were better movies. "Perhaps some men don't like to be driven?" She said. This is a different James Bond. The movie is much darker with
graphic violence compared to any past bond. Maybe Timothy Dalton in
the North Korean torture camp had some similarities. I used to feel
good when I left a Bond film. Not so much this one.
