David,
Good feed-back, from those at the coal
face!
George( down under)
I have been employed as a Auto Trans Technition at a Cadillac Dealer for
21 years + other GM & Toyota Dealers in the past, aprox 33 years exp.. I
can tell you of failures of other manufactures gear sets that I have seen and
most importantly, performed diagnostics on to find THE CAUSE of failure, no
sense in replacing the part if you do not have a cause of failure, thats
called a come-back. 99% of the time it is lube related, or lack of, some were
due to over torque conditions that shed the gearing itself or exploded the
housing, some high mileage units due to thrust washer wear, but again thats
lube. My duce cents worth, thanks,
David, RV6A Rotary, (wings, hor, vert, rudder, flaps, ail, all
painted delivered to airport, panel done, FWF done, final install of canopy,
then fus paint, still waiting to get into heated chapter 55 builders hanger,
two very high performance Glassairs being finished by other chapter
members.) DIV>
