Its obvious how much leverage this tool has with its gear ratio. I only recall
this happening to 4 or 5 in the 30 years I've been a dealer.

My trick was shown to me by a truck mechanic, was to warm the engine to
normal and run it up to 2,000 RPM. Very slowly, pour in a pop bottle full of tap
water. Add some top oil when complete. 99% of the carbon will be gone. Works on
rotaries pretty well. Amazing on piston engines. Did you ever replace a failed
head gasket? Notice the lone, carbon free piston?
