>What does it sound like?
It is definitely louder than the “Tangential” setup I had
before. But it isn’t intolerable at all. I have no idea, of course, what
it sounds like when going over 5000RPM. But at 4500 RPM and running between a
row of hangars (lots of reflective surfaces) it was OK.
>Is it louder than using the cast iron exhaust manifold with a short
pipe, I know what that is like (used it on first test start of my 13b)?
Couldn’t tell you. I don’t think I’ve ever heard one
up close that has the cast iron.
>What about the cost of this good looking set up. If not too
expensive and not too loud I would be interested in one on my Cozy.
The cost was $685 and that included a couple of SS clamp brackets (that
I didn’t use L ).
>Would it give more power than the stock cast iron exhaust?
Absolutely. The cast iron exhaust is in the same boat with the
tangential muffler – lots of back pressure. This exhaust design helps the
engine “breathe” much better and, therefore, produce more power.
