While I'm early in my build I realize the need to figure out what I'm going to do on an engine before I go much further. My options are rotary and O540/IO540. I live in the high mountain deserts of northern New Mexico (Santa Fe) so density altitude is always an issue (Elevation is 6348). So the need for power is an issue. I also plan on cross countries being my main mode of flying, meaning higher cruise speeds are important. I know there are many variables and it's difficult to make generalizations but I'm trying to figure out the horse power ratings of the 20B & Renesis as well as their installed weight. The reason I need to figure it out now is if I go the 540 route I'll need to do a stretch to the fuse to offset the weight diff. Will I need a similar stretch for the Renesis or 20B? Will they meet an acceptable horsepower range, non-turbo'd? Thanks, Bob ------=_NextPart_000_0093_01C6EEE6.23EEA910 Content-Type: text/html; charset="US-ASCII" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable

I’m building a Cozy MK IV.  While I’m early in my build I realize = the need to figure out what I’m going to do on an engine before I go much = further.  My options are rotary and O540/IO540.  I live in the high mountain = deserts of northern New Mexico (Santa Fe) so density altitude is = always an issue (Elevation is 6348).
