Hey Dave;
  You were not exactly an inspiration to do it, but when I read a recent e-mail of yours, having your plane at home to work on, I said damn it, I guess that's the best choice. It was a little dissapionting to be doing it, but it's a better use of my limited time.
   I gotta be honest about Oshkosh. Every year I read more & more reasons why it's probably not worth going to, but the Rotary Round-up is something that I really look forward to attending. It seems that Osh is a showcase for everything but us types of builders. Most of the rotarians that I know of built most of their own planes (as opposed to building from a builder-assist-coffee-room and using hired guns to do the finishing then proudly standing by their award winning plane saying "I built this"), and enjoy the ingenuity and building challenges of an alternate engine installation, as much as actually flying behind the product of their own hairy-chested hard work. Now that's something to be proud of. And that seems like more enjoyable company to me. So if you have plans to attend next years round-up, I'd hook up to make that flight together.

Thats Great news Todd.  I am in the same situation.  Wings off, making all the improvements over this winter.  Maybe we can both make it to Oshkosh next year...

Well I've conceded that I'll never have the time to get all the little things (and a few big things) done, while the plane is up at the airport, so on Sunday I removed the wings and brought it home. Now with it in my shop and right in my face, I've already begun to tinker on it again. I still have to finish the shop, but I hope to do all the jobs on the plane over the winter and have it back up to the airport early in the spring.
So you'll all be hearing from me again as I get back to work on it.

Todd
