Congratulations Buly! I still remember my first flight, it sure is different from the first solo in the 152.
On the exhaust, I believe there are two things to be considered. First the general item is vibration, which is an issue on Pistons and Rotary. The second is the heat in connection with the shock wave, which is Rotary specific.
Solutions? I believe the exhaust must be decoupled from the engine either with sleeves or flex joint. I had the same problem on the SOOB until I put a flex joint in. On the heat and shock wave? I would think what Ed mentioned is probably something to start with.
FWIW
Keep working, you will get there.

Congratulations Buly. Glad to hear you're in the air.
I've spent the evening sorting out paperwork getting ready for the
DAR. :( Maybe sometime this month I'll have an airplane instead of a
project.
