There should be two air temp sensors. OAT is just that outside air temp, install to measure air outside aircraft (not used by computer to cal. fuel) it is just to know what the temp is at altitude. IAT is throttle/intake air temp, to be placed in front of throttlebody, one - four inches is fine, (computer uses to cal. fuel). Hope this helps, I just hapened to have installed mine a week ago.
