I'm finishing up the exhaust - Renesis, RV-7A- and need to know the approximate angle I should use to keep the exhaust from hitting the fuselage floor.  I initially came straight out - parallel to the fuselage and 2.5 inch clearance- and after running the engine at low power I notice the exhaust had impinged on the fuselage bottom.  I'm considering a 30 degree turn down about 3 inches long.  Any suggestions?
