I've always used RTV gasket maker for this job, same stuff I use to install
gear drives with. No leaks, sticks to most anything and can be cut
loose with a putty knife or single edge razor blade if necessary.

Try an automotive supply
house. What you're looking for is door
seal and trim
cement.
