Called EAA about their insurance and Falcon is the
company they are connected with and they wanted l5 hours of dual and 10 hours of
solo before any insurance on the Wittman Tailwind. Then for $1900,
it would be the usual of $100,000 per seat and $20,000 hull. Sounds like
25 hours of landing practice in an aircraft which needs 40 hours of flight
before dual occupancy. Still trying to figure that one out. Does one
need to fly off the 40 hours before the 15 hours of dual? I'm glad I
grew up in the old days before you needed 3 lawyers to interpret something
simple. I not knocking lawyers, as I have a son who is trying to get into
law school. JohnD
