Bill,
A friend of mine is using a 20B, and he is using a Geo alternator, which I
believe is 60 Amps. I don't know the year, but it was about 2/3 the size of
the Mazda, and felt like it weighed about half as much.

Subject: [FlyRotary] Small Alternator
I need a small 60A alternator for my rotary. Does anyone have a lester
number or know the year/model of a suitable alternator? I perfer
Mitsubishi but ND would be OK. I will want to modify it for external
field shutdown, but would perfer to use the internal regulator. I have
little room under my cowl, so it needs to be 4 to 4.5 inches in
diameter, weigh about 7 lbs.
Thanks for any assistance.
