Due to my set up I need to install the temperature probes about 1 3/4"s out from the block.  I can use the ones that go in though a hole, using a hold down clip or the ones that need a well.  With the ones that need a well, I would have to weld on a nipple with nickel rod after a pre -heat, which is more work.  I guess the question is, will the probes with out the well stand the heat.  Thank you   JohnD        Helping Rusty compete in the ugly cowling mold debacle.
