confident are you in this diagnosis?
Pretty certain.
The seal was not broken. It had been impacted by
"something" which crushed the groove a little and stopped it bouncing back.
Whatever impacted it continued on around the housing, taking it's toll as it
went. Considering that this occurred at the same time as the turbine wheel came
off the shaft, I think we can be 100% sure it was the egg, then the chicken. If
it was just a missing turbine blade, like this time, I might have suspected an
imported object through the intake.

giving you 100% on this one. Maybe 50%, unless I see verified
fragments of turbine blade in the rotor housing :-)
