I have
decided to look at manufacturing straight cut gears and planet gears with caged
needle bearings to cope better with the RPM - those little planet bearings zing
along! Hoping to target the magic 300 hp figure.

As I mentioned in the last post I
made, I'll just keep an eye out for a suitable drive, and if nothing appears,
I'll be forced to get creative. I hope it doesn't come to that
though. It would be nice if Racing Beat would finish their aluminum
housings in the next year or so as well.
