In my experience flying my VEZE across the country a few thousand miles to date I've found MOST of the time O2 is not necessary. However, I did say I "highly" recommended a system. Why? Because O2 keeps your mind bright and alert. You arrive at your destination feeling so much better than without it, it's simply and understandably, hard to believe. There is no comparison to flying with or without it. O2 wins every time! By now I'm hoping that you understand that having O2 aboard is a very good thing. The problem is it can be VERY expensive to replenish the supply while on the road. Transfiller's do not do the trick. Why? Because when you land anywhere away from you home base who will allow you to attach your bottle to there welding tank with good usable O2? I have been there and done that in my VEZE. Carried the O2 "Transfiller" only to be denied time after time. This brings up the EDS system which extends O2 life by many times over. Yes it's more expensive but you tell me what isn't in aviation. For $695 this two place system is state of the are. It will extend O2 life somewhere in the range of 28 hours on one 32 liter bottle which means you can travel across the country and back with more than enough O2.
