I lost one that way. A big rock went through the radiator and the driver
didn't notice the temps run away.
Housings trashed, all rubber fried. Irons OK. Crank OK. Rotors OK after
bearing replacement.
The engine would not shut down by shutting off ignition. I had the driver
stall it in 4th gear.
It cracked and popped for an hour after that.
