During the depression, Dad ran his Model A on drip
gas, a by product of the oil field. He would add a quart of motor
oil to 6 gallons of drip gas, for lubricant and to keep the tops on
the pistons. All he needed then would have been some DDT and he would have
killed all the mosquitoes in the county. Needless to say the police were
not impressed with this arrangement either. He didn't have any problem
with people trying to pass. JohnD
