So is the EC2 mod 9 "Fine Tuning" the "Autotune" - or is that
something else
requiring the Em2??

I have the latest of
everything, and the EC-2 instructions still say that mode 9 is the fine
tune. Indeed, I believe it worked that way today, though I needed so much
that I don't think mode 9 would get me there.
The EM-2 has to be set
into a specific real time map tracking mode, and if you also set mode 9 on the
EC-2, they begin to automatically fine tune the mixture. It tried real
hard, and it's cool to watch it try, but I didn't give it a fair chance
today. When I get in the ballpark, or have more time to fiddle with it,
I'm sure it will work well.
