OK, I've been studying my manuals.  The auto tune instructions are there in the latest EM2 manual that I have.  I upgraded the EC2, but I think that was for the primer feature instead of auto tune.  Thanks for the offer.

Good to hear Bob.  I played with autotune just a bit today, and didn't have the greatest success.  The default map is about right at lower rpm's on the single rotor, but it's waaaaaaaay short on fuel at the mid point and up as high as I've tried.

Best I could tell in the time I played with it, autotune will work better if you have every MAP location at least close enough to run near a mid setting on the mixture.  At the moment, that's not the case for me, but there may be another cause for that.  I did just realize that my prop pitch is way over what it needs to be for the single rotor, on the order of double what it should be for this plane.  The extra load might be what's causing my need for more fuel at mod rpms.

The really high pitch may also be causing some odd prop stalling issues as well, and since this is a pusher, and the boom tube and fuselage cage are close to the prop, I'm thinking the odd beat freq vibration is due to the prop tip stalling and unstalling as it passes the fuselage parts.  Need to cut the pitch way back and try again.

Cheers,
Rusty (Gmailing as a test for the next couple weeks at least)
