No, Bobby,  I really do not have even a wag at HP losses in the drive train.  However, I seriously doubt its on the order of 50 HP - that much heat would fry the transmission {:>).

Ed,

This is the only chart I have seen that shows flywheel HP. I have seen two or three rear wheel dyno charts that show between 190 and 204 hp. These where with aftermarket exhausts and intake filter. The 204hp was running a Mazdasport Interceptor ECU. This dyno chart did not show rpms but showed MPH. I found one chart that showed peak hp at 178 at 7300 rpms. This was a stock RX8 no mods at 500ft elevation. Racingbeat's test show  8 hp improvement by removing the catalytic converter regardless of muffler and 2 hp by improving the intake. So 204hp seems like a reasonable number with modified exhaust, intake and an aftermarket ECU.   Any swags as what the HP loss is to rear wheels?

Correct in what sense, Bobby?

It looks similar to charts I saw early on by Mazda showing the output of the Stock  Renesis to be 250HP.  The trouble began, when other folks started putting the
Renesis on dynos and could not get that much power.  Mazda later revised its HP for the Renesis downward to the 235 HP level at 9000 rpm.

Remember you can peak and tweak a dyno installation to get numbers that you would not normally see in operational usage.  Others out there with real dyno experience can verify this.

Can anyone verify that this chart is correct or not?
