I have seen two or three rear wheel dyno charts that show between 190 and 204 hp. These where with aftermarket exhausts and intake filter. The 204hp was running a Mazdasport Interceptor ECU. This dyno chart did not show rpms but showed MPH. I found one chart that showed peak hp at 178 at 7300 rpms. This was a stock RX8 no mods at 500ft elevation. Racingbeat's test show 8 hp improvement by removing the catalytic converter regardless of muffler and 2 hp by improving the intake. So 204hp seems like a reasonable number with modified exhaust, intake and an aftermarket ECU. Any swags as what the HP loss is to rear wheels? =20 Bobby (making cardboard intake) ________________________________ From: Rotary motors in aircraft [mailto:flyrotary@lancaironline.net] On Behalf Of Ed Anderson Sent: Friday, January 06, 2006 2:23 PM To: Rotary motors in aircraft Subject: [FlyRotary] Re: Renesis Horsepower Chart Correct in what sense, Bobby? =20 It looks similar to charts I saw early on by Mazda showing the output of the Stock Renesis to be 250HP.
