Lynn, do you think this would be compatible with the heat shrinkable
hose clamps that Tracy has been sporting, or would the two defeat one
another?  If it works on the 'chinese finger lock' principle, I'm
thinking that the wide band might keep the hose from stretching enough
to lock down.

 

 

I don't think it would hurt a thing. Probably make it better. Maybe you could get the fire sleeve under the shrink tube as well for a very nice look. You could set up an easy test to be sure.
