I had a failure of a = D581 which I attributed to the higher under cowl temps I got with the = Renesis (vs 2nd gen 13B). In my quest to keep the coils cool I ran = into many other mysteries but that is an unfinished story for later. Tracy Bob, the only advantage I can see to the D585 is the metal heat sink = might=20 make it less susceptible to high under the cowl temps. I recall = losing my=20 leading ignition coil early on due to the fact that a resistor in its = base=20 apparently could not take the continuos high rpm load and heat. But, = if no=20 one is having problems with the D581 then probably nothing to be = gained.
