Possibly there has been enough failed D581 coils to justify the extra 5 cents per coil. I recall losing my=20 leading ignition coil early on due to the fact that a resistor in its base=20 apparently could not take the continuos high rpm load and heat. But, if no=20 one is having problems with the D581 then probably nothing to be gained.
