Hi, fellow rotary enthusiasts.  I received an e-mail from Al Wick, who has a Subaru powered Cozy canard aircraft. http://mambers.aol.com/alwick/   If you click on his website and hit the engine link, he talks about his cooling efforts and success using a fairly small radiator, installed just behind the NACA duct. His latest e-mail to me confirmed that he is" using a custom radiator made by Macs radiator. It's directly in line with the naca duct, appx 8" toward the rear of craft, from firewall. Rad is under engine. Air just flows straight, no turns needed. Cooling is perfect. I'm updating my web pages now, adding cooling info. Give me a few more days"
The tests he did on his website are very interesting and possibly encouraging to those of us who have a canard with a NACA duct already installed. (Read that as not having to do a lot of work to add P-51 style ducts, etc).  Any ideas about the possible cooling differences between a 160 hp Subaru and a 170 hp 13b?  My thinking is that they would require a radiator approximately the same size?
I would appreciate any comments from other rotary builders who might take the time to view Al's website and interpret his test results.  Thanks in advance for any replies.  Paul Conner, SQ2000 with 13b
