It is great to hear some good news regarding inspections and sign-offs. Looks like we'll have two more flying rotaries soon....Yourself and Rusty.  Good luck on the first flight(s) to both of you.  It makes me feel like mine might actually happen someday soon. You guys give us the mental attitude and determination to keep plugging along with our projects.  Please keep us updated on your flight testing progress.  Very good news.  Paul Conner, SQ2000 almost finished in Mobile, AL

Subject: [FlyRotary] inspection and first flight ?

Hi Guy's
I finally got an inspector to come up here, equipped with a suitable magnifying glass :-). After 7 hours of inspection and paperwork, I've passed and almost have my flight authority. I just have to wait while the paperwork gets mailed across the country, stamped for approval and mailed back again (gotta love bureaucracy). The EWP is still working fine with no indication of it's seizing, however I expect a new one to arrive in a few days. I wouldn't mind Tracy's new chip as well, but suspect I'll have more than a few hours logged on the old one before it's available.
I expect to hear tales from Rusty stretching his wings today, either that or some cussing about injectors, etc. :-(
