Joe,
Not sure about the "D" numbers.  The ones I bought were A/C Delco and
had GM part numbers.  The coils were not the Corvette type, but were the
late model Chevy V-8 pickup type (connector and coil tower on opposite
ends).  If you need p/n's, I would have to get them tonight after work.
No, they weren't $25, more like $29/ea.  ;-(

I would imagine that there ought to be enough wrecked late model pickups
that you could get the entire coil & harness setup from for a lot less.

If you already have the coils, I would seriously consider copying
Tracy's approach and solder/pot the individual coils and connect all
wires to one main plug.

Mark

Mark,

Was the connector you thought was correct the same one that's used on
the D580?  If not, where did you find them and do they have one that
will fit? I hope you didn't have to pay $25 a piece for them!

GM Parts direct sells the D581 coils for $25 and the D580 for $32.

Joe,

I've updated the wiki to make it clear that the D580 connector doesn't
fit the D581 coil.
