Subject: Mistral Engines: intake system

Even though selling separate engine components is not our business, Mistral
has decided to do it for selected components or subassemblies as a service
to the sport aviation community and for the general promotion of the rotary
engine.

Specifically, we do sell our intake assembly or portions thereof.
However, we *only guarantee* that our parts will fit a normally aspirated
13B block ’89-’92 model. It will also fit a turbo block of the same
generation but special conditions do apply (please get back in touch with
Mistral Engines if you are building a turbocharged engine).
Even tough our parts *may* fit other 13B blocks, we do not guarantee that
they do or can be modified by individuals to do so.  Mistral *will
not* make custom modifications to its parts.  However, should they not fit
or be made to fit, we *will take them back* if shipped back to us, like new,
at the buyer’s costs within 30 days.

I would also like to warn that our runners are tuned in length and diameter
for our whole system.  It is quite possible that they’d be sub-optimally
dimensioned if parts of this intake system are changed.

We *do not* extend any warranty on material and workmanship on separate
components.  We only certify that these parts come from the same batch as
parts going in complete Mistral engines and that they passed the same
quality tests.

Our prices for intake components are the followings:  (include all necessary
gaskets, seals and mounting hardware)

-       Intake plenum with throttle assembly, complete:
          US$ 990

-       Intake manifold:
                                                            US$ 670

-       Set of 4 runners, flexible hoses and mounting
hardware:            US$ 185

*-    Complete intake
system:                                                     US$ 1,790*

As injectors are positioned on the “hot side” of the engine in Mistral’s
design, we strongly recommend that you buy with our intake manifold the fuel
rail and fuel injector box kit designed to go with it.  The fuel injector
box has been designed to collect possible fuel leaks and vent them
overboard.

-    Fuel rail and fuel injector box,
complete:                                  US$ 270

These prices do not include shipping.

Mistral Engines is also selling its backplate, accessory casing (water pump,
oil pump, alternator mount, etc) and oil sump as separate assemblies.
Please contact the company for a quote.

At least for the time being, separate components can only be manufactured in
conjunction with an engine manufacturing batch.  The next deadline for
ordering intake components is September 30^th 2005 for November deliveries.
A later batch is planned for February or March
2006 deliveries.  Parts are payable on order.
