Bill,
A picture is worth a thousand words, you can see inside the pipe diameter there is a slight increase in area from the exhaust port to the ID of the tube, which makes it suitable for the Turbo as well, as I checked it on a Turbo housing.
I felt the smaller tube ( 1 7/8") was just a little too small on the NA housing and much prefer this size, as well as 2" it being a easier size to obtain. I already had some from a motorcycle exhaust experiment. I felt the 1 3/4", which was previously suggested, some time ago, was too restrictive for the 13B.

I dreaded the thought of cutting this flange out by hand and spent the extra time to find this fellow who does a great job and very reasonable as well. I have no doubt I will use this chap for all future cutting services - he is a pleasure to deal with.
Although it is water jet cut and not quite as neat as a laser cut, it's quite good enough for an exhaust flange - he is getting a laser cutter soon anyhow.
Now that I've got the flange done I can get on with making the Ram-VAM.

Wait until you see this housing with a P-Port - I'm getting that CNC cut for a carton of beer.
