It can be done, Perry, but this lets you use one of the mounting bolts for 
the starter, which keeps the plate from being to bulky(read that as less 
weight,1/2" 6061 T-6 is heavy, I wanted to keep the weight close to the 
same as the stock plate. I drew it several different ways, but this turned 
out to be the cleanest design, because you have to consider all the 
different cooling configurations it will be used on. See it in actual use 
on Rusty Duffy's RV-3R(Customer Projects on my site). It has to work for 
everyone, so there has to be some compromises. Fred
