Thanks Rusty, I'm old wrench from way back and I do
plan on doing all the work myself. I have no fear of working on what I fly and I
have been doing the maintance and annuals on N5657Z for as long as I have owned
it, of course under the experienced eye of my A&P - IA. I will start
pursuing the archives very soon.

Hi Jim. Welcome to the list. Seems like
we have at least one other BD-4 guy on the list if I'm not mistaken,
so that could be a real help. Tracy's book is a good start, but
it's getting a bit dated, particularly since we now have the Renesis
engines available. Your budget, and desire to get your hands dirty
will likely determine what route you take on the engine.
