As others have mentioned, the leak in question is probably between the water jacket & combustion chamber. Ed was suspicious while he was here in Jackson MS for our rotary seminar Memorial Day weekend because his coolant system was still pressurized after engine cool-down (without being pre-pressurized).

For the benefit of the newbies on the group, we typically monitor coolant pressure for signs of leaks. I’ve also installed a coolant level sensor in my purge tank that should provide an advance warning of low coolant level.

If you guys can humor me, what's the nature of that coolant leak? Is that the cover that tends to gradually degrade? Is there any chance to sense that failure before it gets significant? Like, do you experience fluid level change gradually? Pressure change? How bout Post shut down change in pressure? Know what I mean? Time vs pressure after shutdown?
