Ian,
 My wife (before I met her) had a computer in her BMW go out. She drove=20
through a moderate puddle of water and splashed water onto the case that=20
holds the computer. It stopped right away and cost almost $2k to replace th=
e=20
computer. BMW would not support the repair despite the car still being unde=
r=20
warranty because it was "water damage" despite several letters to BMW=20
America. Apparently there were having a problem with hundreds of cars with=
=20
the same problem and didn't want to pay the piper.
