. Next is to get the rotors covered in ceramic, and probably a
balance job as I feel that may have never been done with my current counter
weight (that's why I was looking at counter weights on e-bay).

A very good idea!
My understanding of the balancing ( since
working on the single) is that it goes a long way in the smoothness, even when
you have the right parts. If you have a suspect ( weight) counterweight,
it's a must!
