Just got back from the fly-in and if you haven't been to one of Charlie & Tupper's events you don't know what you missed.  They both go the 2nd & 3rd mile to assure that everyone has a comfortable & enjoyable time - Laura and I sure did.

Boy, I will 2nd what Tracy has to say about Charlie and Tupper.

Glad you guys got home OK uncuffed.

Hope Slobvovia O.N. does it again next year and a lot more rotary powered airplanes show up!

Bernie, in Memphis tonight in RV with wheels

Boy, that was fun! Thanks for all the kind words from Bernie, Tracy, etc.

The credit for planning, logistics & execution goes to my amazing wife, who, like Laura,  not only wants to live at an airpark but enjoys having a few dozen people come & visit for the weekend.

The real credit for a successful event goes to the presenters: Tracy (Renesis update), Ed (streamline cooling duct study), Bernie (RV-9 early performance numbers & flying impressions), Monty Roberts (report on his 'next generation rotary': a single seat pure jet, complete with homebuilt turbojet engine!), Bill Eslick (RV-6 installation, performance & cooling improvements) & Ed Klepeis (custom radiators & oil coolers).

As you can see, we had a really full day before the real fun of watching the high performance of Tracy's RV-4 with the new Renesis engine, 2.85 reduction unit & 'monster prop'. I'm pretty sure that Monty  & Ken will be uninterested in flying my Lyc powered -4 after their experience yesterday. Shucks, *I'm*  not that interested any more, after seeing him lift off after only 1/2 my takeoff roll & having my neighbors ask why my -4 is so much slower than Tracy's.

It's pretty inspiring to see how much information & experience is available at one of these events. Tupper & I  are definitely up for doing it again and I'd encourage anyone who's  building or even considering a rotary to get in on this type of face-to-face info exchange.
