Message
Greetings,
If anyone has been
watching, the folks selling the level sensors are back on Ebay. I sent
them a message weeks ago after their original auction, and never got a
reply. Today, I asked again about the "large box of these". The
email thread is listed below. They sold one for about $6, now have a
minimum $10 bid on the current one. At this rate, they can make a career
out of that large box, though it won't exactly put the kids through college
:-)
Cheers,
Rusty (won't be going to
Slobville)
In your description, you mention that you have a large box of these. I'm
interested in obtaining quite a few, perhaps the whole box. What price would you
sell them at? If I bought a large number, it would be to sell them at cost to
other members of a rotary engine list I'm on. We all seem to want a few for
various uses. The easiest thing would be if you listed a large quantity with a
buy in now price, then everyone could just buy their own, and I wouldn't get
stuck in the middle.

We'll have to think about
this. Quite a few people want to do this, but they want us to give them away. We
need to work within eBay also. How many are you thinking about?

I'm currently using ELS-900 sensors,
which are superior to the ELS-1100 in every way. These can be
purchased for $39 in quantities of 10 or more. The ELS-1100 couldn't
be used for coolant, or oil due to the temp limits, but would work very well for
fuel level.
I would personally buy 4 if
they're in the $10-$15 range, and assuming you don't add $5 each for
shipping. I'd guess you'd sell 30-50 total for the people on the
rotary list at those prices. Again, I don't really want to be in
the middle of a group purchase, so I'd rather see you list them on E-bay at
some fixed price so everyone can buy their
own.
