I am using a VDO tach, set up for 4 cylinders with the

EC2. Works great so far on the runups I have done.

How do you have it hooked up?  I’m guessing that you are using the Mazda coils, and getting the signal from there.  I believe Tracy said it would give you two pulses per rev, which is what a 4 cyl tach would expect.
