Hi Todd, Rusty, and others with a tach need,
As many of you know I have 2 projects onging and I'm not getting
anything done on either project.  With that out of the way, my miniMax
project is almost ready for rigging and I have bought the tach for the
2-stroke engine.  I think one of these tachs would work for you guys -
they are available for 2-stroke or 4-stroke.  The signal pickup comes
from wrapping a 'lead' around the number 1 sparkplug wire:

and Hourmeter that requires no external power source. Easy two wire
hook up. Simply wrap red lead around spark plug wire. White wire to
engine ground. RPM and engine hours are automatically displayed when
the engine is running. Display shows RPM total engine time and flight
time. Self contained battery powers LCD readout. Measures only 1.5" x

units. Standard or #2R for engines with one spark per revolution (Bosch
