Not that my opinion counts, Caleb, but I look at it like this: the ratio of
airflow through the engine will not change significantly, the dead rotor is
still pumping air. The greater the serious damage to the rotor, the less
efficient the pump becomes. RPM drops off, supercharger slows down. How
much boost can you get at 3900 rpm? If it is a positive displacement pump,
you should still get some. How much can you use at that reduced RPM? And
you still have the supercharger drag.
My 2 cents is on the side that says drag is greater than power gain.
